Hello, my name is Colin Mead. I am a professional artist and recent graduate of ITT Tech, where I earned a degree in Multimedia Design. At ITT Tech, I achieved a 3.89 GPA and was named valedictorian for my class. I was also a mentor beginning in my second semester. While attending, I and a teammate participated in the Skills USA 3d modeling and animation competition. We placed first in the State of Michigan competition and ninth in the national finals.

I enjoy all aspects of artwork and practice many different forms of artistic expression. My art career, so to speak, began with pencil drawings for the art board on my Dad's wall. My passion for art has continued on to this day. Since that time long ago, I have sold over one hundred paintings, mostly watercolor and have completed many graphic design projects for my own business and for other businesses as well. These projects have included pamphlets, brochures, landscape designs and illustrations.

While creating advertising for my landscape business, Outdoor Escapes, I became passionate about the art creating ability of the computer. Then, while creating drawings for the National Heritage Academy, I was introduced to the gentleman who used my initial drawings to create animations using Flash and Photoshop. After seeing what he was able to do on his massive setup of computers, I was hooked. That was when I decided to go to ITT Tech and learn how to do what he was doing.

I have learned many things, both at school and on my own. I am currently seeking employment in the multimedia field. My aspiration is to be a 3d artist specializing in texturing and modeling, but I have many passions when it comes to creating art forms. I would be just as happy creating ads in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator or even video production using Premier Pro.
